Small Business Services
The New York State SBDC offers a host of programs designed for specific groups of entrepreneurs:
- The Office
of Entrepreneurial Education's (OE2) primary objective
is to facilitate, sponsor and develop tools, aids, and models of entrepreneurial
instruction. The office has developed a web-based training program in
entrepreneurship for 8th - 12th grade students.
- The International
Business Development Program exists to help small- and medium-sized
businesses in New York State to enter, promote and expand into the global
marketplace.
- The Defense
Economic Transition Assistance (DETA) program provides
management and technical assistance to businesses and individuals affected
by disruption and dislocation resulting from changes in the defense
industry.
- The Veterans
Business Outreach Program (VBOP) has assisted thousands
of Veterans in New York since 1998, providing face to face counseling,
training and mentorship.
- During difficult times SBDC Disaster Recovery programs help put small businesses back on their feet.
